Project Abstract
This practice-based research project investigates how experimental typography interventions as a communication design tool may address verbal social violence towards women in India on social media. I explored how type design can respond
to my question: How can experimental typography be used to visualize and critique verbal social violence toward women? As a practice-based researcher, I am finding this project an opportunity to break this vicious loop of judgmental culture by developing the Devananagri letterform ‘Abhivyakti’ as a part of this project to visually communicate the targeting people in India to address the attitudes and behaviors
