How does communication design foster dialogue between public and the property owners of unfinished buildings?
Project Abstract
Reflecting on my upbringing in China, there were always a few unfinished buildings around my home, and the phrase of ‘unfinished buildings’ frequently appeared in the news. ‘Behind the Gray’ is a publication that showcases the lives of residents in these unfinished buildings. The real lives and expectations of these homeowners are overshadowed by the massive and gray structures, as suggested by the title of this zine.
Using the medium of zine, this project aims to present this phenomenon to the public, evoking greater awareness and reflection. Perhaps, it can help improve the living conditions of these residents in the future.
