Ripped Type
The Ripped Type is designed to show the pain and trauma experienced by people who are affected by war. It also shows their emotions about being ripped apart by bombs. The gases, the tears, the uncertainty, the pain, the homelessness, the tiredness, the anger, and the hunger are what I tried to express with this type. The letter is shown as broken buildings with channels remaining behind and popping out. The letters are deformed to reflect rubbles of cement. This type is designed using deformed letter shapes and edgy lines. The letters are raw and bulky to create the feel of a building.
