Toxic Cloud
The typeface design of this book combines the expression of calligraphy. Calligraphy uses black and white for artistic expression, and the texture of the typeface created with a brush is a perfect fit for the texture of the "toxic cloud". The thick black smoke from exploding bombs, burning waste, and black exhaust from factories are the main components of the "toxic cloud". Through the design of the Chinese words’ toxic clouds, bombs, burning, war, and explosion, and the combination of the design font and recyclable plastic material, the fluidity of the transparent plastic material is used to express the free state and shape of the clouds, creating an internal reflection of the clouds. The distorted state of the two combined expresses a critique and reflection of these realities of today's problems.
